Shannon Levan, Age 50, passed away on September 14th in Mesquite, Nevada 3 months after falling and breaking her hip on June 30th.
Shannon was born on May 1, 1975 in Denver, CO to parents Paul and Susan Levan. At birth, Shannon was diagnosed with a genetic disorder known as Down Syndrome.
When Shannon was 2 years old her brother Bryan arrived on the scene and for the next 48 years they traveled together and they played together, as kids. She watched him play baseball in high school and learned and trusted him like no other person in her life.
Shannon was always a delight growing up, always with a smile, always with a wink, always with a skip, and always a happy person who never knew or sensed she was not considered normal by her family, her friends or those who met her for the past 20 years here in Mesquite.
Shannon was a social butterfly who loved going to Casa for dinner and Eureka on Saturday night to play and see people. She liked to go with Dad to Wednesday night bowling league, the American Legion Meetings, and watching Denver Broncos games. What she really loved was going to see Elvis impersonator, John brooks, when he played at the Casa Lounge,
Funeral Services will be Tuesday September 23, at 3pm at La Virgen de Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mesquite, NV.
