With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Tammy Anne Schreiber (née Masten), who left us at the age of 57 on June 21, 2026, after a brave and inspiring battle with cancer. Tammy’s strength and grace shone through every moment of her life, touching the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
Tammy was the beloved daughter of Marion Masten and the late Henry R. Masten Jr. from Northwood, New Hampshire. She was a devoted wife to Alan Schreiber of Nevada, with whom she shared 25 wonderful years of marriage. Tammy was also a loving mother to her precious daughter, Jillian McNeil, from her previous marriage to Dean McNeil of Texas. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, in May 1969, Tammy exemplified intelligence, determination, creativity, and charisma. Her family brought her the greatest joy, and the bond and love she shared with her daughter was unwavering.
After graduating with highest honors from Portsmouth High School in New Hampshire in the late 1980s, Tammy moved to Texas, where she built a life following her heart. Over her remarkable 37-year journey in Texas, she earned a degree in Accounting and Business Management from Baylor University, which led to a 25-year career in healthcare financial leadership. Tammy held the esteemed position of Chief Financial Officer at Hamilton Healthcare System for over five years before moving on to her final role at Mesa View Regional Hospital in Mesquite, Nevada. Her unwavering commitment to the patients, employees, and communities she served earned her deep respect and admiration.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Tammy found immense joy in creative pursuits such as cross-stitching, crocheting, and crafting, frequently sharing her unique handmade designs through her beloved Etsy shop, Tas & Co Designs. She embraced every adventure, treasured moments with family and friends, and was truly the heart of her family, providing guidance, strength, and unwavering love. Her spirit was vibrant, often reflected in her fondness for the ocean and the cherished childhood summers spent on Cape Cod, where the beach always called to her upon returning home.
Tammy leaves behind her mother, Marion Masten, of Pennsylvania; her devoted husband, Alan Schreiber, of Nevada; her beloved daughter, Jillian McNeil, of Texas; her four loving sisters, Jennifer Cosentino of New Hampshire, Lorraine Chilen of Pennsylvania, Elizabeth Goguet of New Hampshire, and Jacqueline Greeley of Massachusetts; as well as a large and supportive extended family that includes many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, along with brothers-in-law, friends, and cherished colleagues. She also had an immense love for dogs, which began with her childhood companion, Skipper, and continued with Teddy Bear, Tamara, Hank, and Frodo.
In lieu of flowers, and to honor Tammy’s deep passion for animal welfare, we kindly ask that you consider donating to your local SPCA or animal shelter, a cause that was very near to her heart.
To celebrate Tammy’s incredible life and spirit, a memorial service will be held at Mesa View Regional Hospital in Mesquite, Nevada, on July 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM PST. Following that, a Celebration of Life will take place at a family member's home in Massachusetts on August 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM EST. Both events will be accessible via a “Live”Facebook link for those who wish to join in spirit.
Tammy’s love will forever resonate in our hearts, and her inspiring spirit will continue to uplift all who were fortunate enough to know her.
