Doctor Thomas James Deutsch, age 87, of Boulder City, NV passed away on January 22, 2017 in Henderson, Nevada. He was born on December 13, 1929 in Duluth, Minnesota to Romeo Nicholas Deutsch and Marian Alexina Chaput Deutsch. Raised in Duluth, he received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Minnesota in June of 1952 and then in June of 1953 he received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery. On July 13, of 1953 he joined the Navy and served with the 4th Marine Regiment in Mara Japan during the Korean War. After his Navy tour ended in July of 1955, he went on to practice dentistry in Kalispell, Montana until 1978 when he moved to Boulder City to enjoy retirement.
Thomas was a member of the Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Elks, the Lions Club and VFW. In Boulder City he was a member of the Art Guild and the Gem Club. He enjoyed rock hunting, camping, fishing, hunting and painting.
Thomas is survived by four children, Wayne (Patricia) Deutsch, Thomas Deutsch, Kim Alexander, Daniel (Linda) Deutsch; a sister Lois Marie Deutsch; sixteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Ruth Deutsch, daughter Diane Woods, son James Deutsch; brother Dr. Robert Deutsch; and sister Margaret Deutsch.
