Timothy John Buer

Boulder City, Nevada - Timothy John Buer, 80, passed away Friday, May 15 at Lake Mead National Recreation Area. He was born October 21, 1945 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Glendon J and Elnor Jane Buer (Henson). He married Barbara Hansen October 26, 1991 in Pasadena, California.

Growing up Timothy’s dad was in the Air Force and his family lived in several locations in the States and abroad. He loved the places they traveled to on vacations both in the Middle East and Europe.

Timothy attended Arizona State University and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in construction. After completing pilot training in Del Rio, Texas he deployed to Vietnam.

Following his service in the Air Force he went to work in the construction industry in the states and in the Middle East. He later went on to get his broker’s license to work as a financial planner and tax preparer.

Timothy enjoyed an active life including running the Los Angeles Marathon twice, cycling, skiing, hiking, camping, and RV trips with his family. He especially enjoyed working as a volunteer at Lake Mead National Recreation Site.

Timothy is survived by his wife, Barbara Buer of Boulder City, Nevada; his daughter Emily Clark (Thomas) of Henderson, Nevada; and his granddaughter Winona. He is preceded in death by his parents.

His memorial service will be Thursday, May 28 at 11 o’clock in the morning at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church in Boulder City, Nevada.
