Tirso Del Pozo Jr

September 25, 1946 — December 22, 2021

Las Vegas

Tirso (Tony) Del Pozo, Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away after a twenty-year journey with cancer on December 22, 2021. He was surrounded by family in his home. He is survived by his wife, Rosa Marina Del Pozo (Rivera); Children: Barbara Revis (Brian), Racheal White (Jarrod), Alex Del Pozo (Krystle), Jonathan Del Pozo; Grandchildren: Alexis Revis, Analysa Gonzales (Daniel), Dominic White, Chase Hafen, Tanner Hafen, Alianna Del Pozo, Arabella Del Pozo, Joey Henry, and Nora Del Pozo; Mother, Glosa Del Pozo; Brothers: Roman and Robert, Sr.; Pet: Max; Preceded by his father, Tirso Del Pozo, Sr.

A 14-year-old immigrant from Cuba, he arrived with his mother and two younger brothers with just the clothes on their backs and later reunited with his father to pursue the American Dream. Immediately after high school Tony served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and upon discharge started his family in West New York, New Jersey. Pursuing opportunity, he relocated with his family to the West Coast where he would become a North Hollywood, California resident and Private Investigative professional. He later remarried, further grew his family, and relocated one final time to Las Vegas, Nevada after the Northridge Earthquake of 1994.

Whether by boat or RV, adventure was his passion and Salsa music was his therapy. His life-long dream was returning to Cuba but circumstances being what they were decided that one day he would make a trip to St. Thomas being that it too shared the same crystal blue sea as his mother land. After years of planning, Tony arrived in St. Thomas November 11, 2021, with his wife and children for a trip that would leave forever memories. The only thing he loved more than adventure was his family, who will forever keep him in their hearts. Tony was truly loved by all who knew him, his sense of humor, laughter and strength will be greatly missed.
