Tony LeRoy Jensen

Tony LeRoy Jensen, age 80, of Boulder City, Nevada, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at home on October 15, 2025. Tony was born in Gunnison, Utah, on August 11, 1945, to Ralph Lavar Jensen and Ida Edwards Jensen.

Tony grew up with a deep love for family, faith, and sports. He graduated in the first class of Computer Science at Brigham Young University—a milestone that reflected his sharp mind and pioneering spirit. After college, Tony dedicated many years of service through his employment at the Bureau of Land Management and the United States Department of Energy.

A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Tony served a two year mission in England where he combined two of his greatest loves—faith and baseball—by forming a traveling team and playing second base as they toured Europe. His love of sports never faded; he was a devoted fan who took great joy in cheering on his children and grandchildren at every game. In his later years, he found camaraderie on the golf course as a member of the Old Guys Golf Group in Boulder City.

Tony was known for his warmth, pure heart, and gift of storytelling. He was also a talented woodworker who poured his heart into the pieces he created—leaving behind handcrafted reminders of his love and care.

Tony married LeAn Gardner on December 13, 1974 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is survived by his beloved wife LeAn; his four children April (Dean) Richardson, TJ (Christine) Jensen, Michaun (Matt) Madsen, and Kevin (Britney) Jensen; and eleven cherished grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Alice (Jay) Jensen and Susan (Jon) Frischknecht. He was preceded in death by his older sister Carolyn (Gary) Myrup.

Tony’s life was filled with faith, laughter, stories, and love—a legacy that will live on through his family and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m., with the funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 916 5th Street, Boulder City, NV 89005.
