Pekin, IL – Boulder City, NV
Tonya Fabry passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025, in Boulder City, Nevada, just days shy of her 65th birthday.
Born on May 7, 1960, in Pekin, Illinois, to Frances and Charles Evans, Tonya lived a life filled with joy, resilience, and love. She was a light in every room—quick to smile, quick to compliment, and always generous with her kindness. Even after a life-altering brain injury in 1996, Tonya remained a joyful, compassionate presence, touching everyone around her with her strength and warmth.
Before her injury, Tonya was the proud owner and operator of Details and Hair Design, a salon she built with creativity and determination. She stayed ahead of the trends and poured her heart into her business, taking great pride in creating a welcoming space for her clients and community.
Tonya had an adventurous spirit and a deep love of life. She traveled often and embraced new experiences with open arms—skydiving, scuba diving, and seeking joy wherever she could find it.
Her greatest devotion, however, was to her family. Tonya is survived by her beloved daughter, Jacqueline Edmonds, and her treasured grandsons, Vincent and Jeffrey Edmonds, with whom she lived and whom she helped raise. Her love for them was fierce and unconditional. She fought every day to be with them, and her presence will forever be felt in their lives.
Tonya is also survived by her siblings Ginger Toland, Richard Evans, Duncan Evans, Keria Smith, and Natasha Kretschmar. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frances and Charles Evans, as well as her siblings Jack Evans and Nichole Wade.
Tonya's legacy is one of strength, joy, adventure, and love. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
