Our dear Valerie passed away on April 13, 2026 at the age of 68, after a long and strong battle with several chronic illnesses. Valerie was born March 5, 1958 in Provo, Utah, to Richard William and Jone (White) Jones, and was raised in Las Vegas, Nevada.

She went to Clark High School. Valerie married Bruce Alexander and they had no children together. They later divorced. Val always had a dachshund by her side. She adored her beloved “fur friends”, Heidi, Tessa, Charlie and Molly, as they were her devoted companions.

Valerie was the most non-judgmental, trusting and sweet person who would never do anyone harm, sometimes to her own detriment. She was an empath, a deep thinker and an excellent writer, yet she was also super silly and funny and had a great sense of humor. Valerie loved to reminisce and listen to music and dance. She had a lot of good times and travels to reflect upon.

Val was thoughtful and creative with all of her arts and crafts, most were always given away as gifts. She had a wonderful sense of style. Val would always dress in cute and classy outfits with her manicures and pedicures always matching and her jewelry super thoughtful. She cared about her appearance even when pushing through on really hard days.

Valerie knew Jesus and is preceded in death by her grandparents, Ora William and Vera Vivian (Dearing) Jones; Francis Richard and Olean (Neilsen) White; her father, Richard William Jones and stepdad, Joseph Sanzo. She is survived by her mother, Jone (White) Sanzo; sister, Dani (William) Bailey; sister, Kristie Nanes; and her niece and nephews.
