Victor F. Pocius Jr.

Victor Francis Pocius Jr, age 79, of Boulder City, NV, passed away of natural causes on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at his home in Boulder City. He was born on August 24, 1947 in Chicago, IL to Victor F Pocius Sr and Rhea (Marek) Pocius.

Victor attended Rich Central High School in Olympia Fields, IL. He received degrees in Credit and Financial Management from Stanford University and Governor’s State University, 1980. He worked for many years in international finance and insurance underwriting. His work brought him all over the world from Argentina to China to Singapore. Victor was a very disciplined, hardworking, and prudent man who was always an excellent provider and protector of his family. He was always reading and passionate about sharing what he had learned with others. Victor enjoyed traveling, collecting wine, home improvement and landscaping, and fine dining. He was a contributor to the Parkinson’s Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project, St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and the SPCA.

He is survived by his children, Tami Pocius of San Antonio TX, Holli (Brian) Klimek of Tinley Park IL, Victor Pocius of Phoenix AZ, Matthew Pocius of Summerhill PA, Douglas (Rachelle) Pocius of Phoenix AZ, Lauren Pocius of Las Vegas NV; his previous wife, Anita Pocius of Boulder City NV; his partner, Dixie Meyer of Henderson NV; his nephew Bob (Renee) Bladek and family of Chicago IL; his grandchildren, Michael, Heather, Nicholas, Jacob, Amanda, and Julian; and his great grandchildren Olivia, Natalie, Quinn.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Joseph and Bradford, sister Wanita Paulsen, previous wife Charlene (Rydwall) Pocius, and many extended family members. A viewing will be held starting at 10am at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Boulder City, NV on Thursday, September 17, 2026 followed by a Mass at 10:45am.
