Vonda Kaye Brandon

Vonda Kaye Brandon, age 56, of Las Vegas, NV passed away on December 21, 2023 in Mesquite, NV.  She was born in Fort Defiance, Arizona to Roy Keams Dan and Marie R. Bennett.  Vonda had lived in many places including Phoenix, AZ, Las Vegas, NV and recently moved to Mesquite, NV.  She was raised on Crownpoint, NM on the Navajo Reservation.

Vonda loved everything law enforcement and enjoyed going shooting in which she was a sharp shooter.  She worked as a security officer.  Her passions included drawing, painting and doing colorful bead work.  She enjoyed being out in nature; going on hikes.  She loved to engage in her Navajo culture and participate in pow wows.  Music was another passion of hers; she loved to attend concerts and was Snoop Dogg’s number one fan but also liked other rappers like Ice Cube and The Dogg Pound.

Vonda is survived by her father Roy (Patricia) Dan; her mother Marie (Frederick) Antonio; two daughters Calane Brandon, Kashelle Brandon; a sister Wynoma Foster; three grandchildren Ava Adams, Ezekiel Begishie, Elias Begishie; and two nephews Dennison Juan and Michael Ayers.  She is preceded in death by a son Ashton Begishie and a brother Winston Keams Dan.
