Retired Sergeant First Class William (Bill) Patrick Macia, age 55, passed away on Friday April 10, 2026.
Bill served 21 years in the US Army and was awarded two Bronze Stars for Valor. He was the postmaster at the Gardnerville NV Post Office at the time of his passing.
Bill is survived by his wife Marya, mother Sharon James, father Harland Macia, and stepmother Cynthia Cole Macia; brother Christopher Macia, his daughters Clarissa Burton and family, Jessica Macia, and Ashley Macia; sister Karen Roberge, her husband Paul Roberge, her sons Steven Macia and Dante Adams; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Bill was predeceased by his brother Hardy Machia and sister-in-law Faith Macia. In lieu of flowers, donations to Bill’s favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org/donate) are appreciated.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026 from 4-6 pm at Star Mortuary 900 Nevada Hwy Boulder City, NV 89005. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 27, 2026 at 10:40 am at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr. Boulder City, NV 89005.
