William Walker

May 3, 1934 — July 19, 2016

William “Earl” Walker, age 82, of Boulder City, NV passed away on July 19, 2016.  He was born in Carson City, NV to Winfred and Mildred Goodman Walker on May 3, 1934.  After graduating from high school he served in the United States Army. He married Dixie Lee Lewis on October 7, 1956 in Boulder City, Nevada; they had 60 great years of marriage.  They moved to Boulder City and made it their home for the past 50 plus years.

Earl was a member of the Operating Engineer Union Local 12 in Las Vegas and worked for the Wells Cargo for most of his career.  When he had time off he loved to go hunting and fishing.  He shot his last elk at the age of 81 with his bow.  He was a member of the striper fishing club.  He was   He was a wonderful father to his five children and was a father figure to many in the neighborhood.  He served as a Scout Master in the Boy Scouts and was president of the Boulder City Dirt Riders.

Earl is survived by his wife Dixie Walker; four sons Don Walker, Johnny (Jackie) Walker, Sam (Kathy) Walker, Stan (Cheri) Walker; a daughter Nancy Walker; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Memorial mass will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with lunch following the service at St Andrews Catholic Community, 1399 San Felipe Dr. Boulder City, NV 89005.
