Cherryl Ann Bundy Abbott

Cherryl Ann Bundy Abbott, 70, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022 surrounded by her family at her home in Mesquite, NV. She was born June 16, 1952 in St. George, Ut to Ben and Beatrice Nelson Bundy. She married Perry E. Abbott on June 27, 1970 in the St. George, UT temple.

Cherryl was raised on the Arizona Strip through faith, hard work and a close family bond. She started her education in the one room schoolhouse at Mount Trumbull, AZ; after which she attended and graduated in 1970 from Dixie High School in St. George, UT.

Cherryl and Perry raised their family in Mesquite, NV. She worked in retail management for most of her life where she influenced numerous people in the community and was able to share her unique way of making everyone feel loved and special. She had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and served in various callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Cherryl loved to spend time with her family on the ranch where she grew up. She enjoyed traveling with her sisters and friends on various little adventures. She loved to watch football, especially the 49ers. Above all, her most favorite thing in the world was just being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Perry E. Abbott in Mesquite, NV. Her children Brandon (Jennifer) Abbott, Chad (Tabitha) Abbott, Sirena Tafili, and Kelsi Abbott in Mesquite, NV. As well as 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Her siblings Clayon ( Margo) Bundy in Portland, Oregon; Lowell (Penny) Bundy in Wheatland, CA;Wendel (Kayleen) Bundy in Cedar City, UT; Les (Chris) Bundy in St. George, UT; Newman (Yvonne) Bundy in Taylorsville, UT; Veda (Dave) Hatch in Springville, UT and Arlene (Dennis) May in Fountain Green, UT.

She is preceded in death by her parents James “Ben” and Beatrice Nelson Bundy, her brothers James Lavoy Bundy and Kenneth Donl Bundy, her sister Gayle Hansen, her sons Nathan Trent Abbott and Dustin Lyman Abbott, and grandson Jeremy Robert Irvin.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the Mesquite Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center, 100 North Arrowhead Lane at 11:00 a.m. Visitation  will be held Friday, August 26, 2022 at the Mesquite Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday prior to the funeral service 9:30-10:30 a.m.  The family invites you to leave a message or memory on their guestbook page at starmortmesquite.com.
