Michael Sean Takeshi Gonzales, 37, of Las Vegas returned to his "home in the clouds" on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016. He was born on Feb. 17, 1979 in Honolulu, HI. Mike is survived by his Life Partner, Krystal Stuart and their three kids, Tyson, Kylee and Keslee; parents Tina Felan (Ed), Louis Gonzales (Ernell); siblings Louis Gonzales (Cheryl), Erinn, Emree, and Lowen Gonzales, Renee Masten (Jake), and Briyonna and Edward Felan; four nieces and two nephews; grandparents Yolanda (Bill) Heine, Matthew (MaryAnn) Gonzales. He is preceded in death by grandparents Forest and Tokiko McAfee.

Mike attended school in Hawaii; he graduated from Moanalua High School, and received his Associates Degree in Computer Technology from Heald Business College.

Mike had a close bond with his brother Lou. The two of them faced all of life's adventures together. They celebrated Chardenae's birth in 1999; Mike adored his niece, and shared a very special relationship with her. Upon the passing of their grandmother in 2005, Mike relocated to Las Vegas to be close to his brother and family.

Mike and Krys met while working at Harrah's. Their great friendship developed into a deep love for each other. Family always came first, they loved time spent at the parks, swimming, watching movies, and hanging out. Mike loved Tyson as his own, and he adored his two little girls. They will miss his silly bath songs along with date nights and special times spent together. Mike was a member of the PTA and loved to volunteer at school events in support of the kids. Education was a priority to him. He loved to share the kid’s achievements with family and friends.

Mike enjoyed a large group of friends, they combined to become the Ohana....birthday celebrations, UFC fight nights, weekend bbq's and other events were spent together. Mike enjoyed MMA, Kung Fu movies, guns, his motorcycle, and practiced Wing Chun. Mike participated in the annual Ride for Kids to raise funds for Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation in honor of his nephew Rex.

Mike was a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary Dist. 11SR Flotilla 09-05 Metro Las Vegas, serving as Vice Flotilla Commander. He had a great respect for the US Military and local Police Force; he supported and admired his friends who served.

Mike worked as a Federal Security Officer in Las Vegas for North American Security Inc. Krystal would like to thank co-workers Dave, Penko and Caine. The visits and texts that were received always brightened Mike's day when he was unable to get around.

As Mike's battle with Melanoma neared the end he greatly appreciated the support from his cousins and Aunties. He enjoyed the visits and looked forward to more. He had a deep love of family and was determined to beat the disease. He fought valiantly for two years before joining his beloved grandmother, Tokiko, on the other side.
